So, here you are, working tirelessly towards publication when you find yourself stumped. Maybe you need a character “cheat sheet” to remember just how tall Sally is, or maybe you just need a book that will help you to become motivated or teach you the ins-and-outs of fiction writing. Luckily, there’s tons of resources out there, and it’s not only for the writer, but the RPG-er, the comic book artist, or even the simple storyteller.

I’ve compiled a list of resources that either I’ve created in order to make my life a little easier (and decided to share :) ) or that I’ve found on the Internet, or books that I think are particularly useful and are on my bookshelf. Feel free to leave a comment about your own experiences with the resources listed here, or suggest your own!1

I’ve read a lot of books on writing or books that are meant to help you in your writing. A lot of them are rubbish, but every once in a while, a true gem will sparkle amongst the lumps of coal. When this happens, I grab that book up and stick it on my bookshelf. Here’s the books I’ve found to be particularly helpful, and I recommend highly for any writer or storyteller:
